Miss Orem 2005 Testimonial

Dear Miss Orem Contestants,

“Success is a journey, not a destination.” This is the philosophy that I have applied throughout my reign as Miss Orem 2005. This has been a character building year of amazing opportunity, setbacks and challenges, rewarding triumphs and personal growth. I have devoted 110% of my efforts to serving our community and its citizens, promoting my platform Self Empowerment - Triple Play Program and preparing to represent Orem City in the Miss Utah pageant.

Some of my fondest memories include Orem Summerfest, the Parade Season, activities with the Royalty, Orem City Council Meetings, Chamber of Commerce Events, Women’s Business Networking Luncheons, the C.A.R.E. Program, Miss Orem 2006 Workshops, Orem Friendship Center Activities, advocating my message of Self Empowerment to the youth and sharing my passion for ballroom dancing with all audiences.

I would like to express my gratitude for my wonderful parents, sisters, family and friends. Without all of you, none of this would be possible. A special thank you to Orem City, the pageant committee, my royalty members and my sponsors for all of your generosity and hard work in my behalf. To the Boys and Girls Club of America and Wasatch Mental Health for their tremendous support in promoting my platform. To all of those who have encouraged me to believe in myself and achieve my dreams, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Each one of you has touched my life in a special way and inspired me through your examples.

My journey began long before I was crowned on April 1, 2005 and my journey will continue long after tonight. I’m sincerely grateful for the memories and lessons that I’ve gained through this experience that will bless me for the rest of my life.
